Quality Standards
Quality begins with careful choices and continues through every step.
At Volta Santé, our goal is to offer wellness products and educational information with care, consistency, and transparency. These standards describe the principles we use when evaluating products, suppliers, documentation, handling, and customer feedback. They are designed to support responsible decisions without making guarantees that science, manufacturing, or individual biology cannot support.
1. Responsible sourcing
We look for ingredients and finished products from suppliers that can explain where materials come from, how they are handled, and what specifications they are expected to meet. Sourcing decisions consider ingredient identity, consistency, documentation, stability, regulatory status, and suitability for the intended use.
2. Supplier qualification
We assess prospective suppliers using the information reasonably available to us. Depending on the product, this may include business credentials, manufacturing information, quality agreements, specifications, certificates of analysis, testing records, complaint history, and responses to follow-up questions. Approval is not permanent; supplier performance may be reviewed as circumstances change.
3. Identity, purity, and composition
We seek documentation or testing appropriate to the product and its risk profile. Reviews may address identity, purity, strength, composition, microbiological quality, heavy metals, allergens, or other relevant characteristics. Testing methods and limits can vary by ingredient, product type, destination market, and applicable requirements.
4. Manufacturing expectations
We aim to work with manufacturers and suppliers that follow applicable quality and safety requirements and maintain controls appropriate to their operations. These may include written procedures, trained personnel, sanitation, equipment controls, batch records, in-process checks, release criteria, and systems for managing deviations. References to quality practices do not mean that every product carries the same certification.
5. Storage, handling, and distribution
Product quality can be affected by heat, moisture, light, contamination, and time. We use storage and handling practices intended to protect products within the information and facilities available to us. Customers should follow label instructions and avoid using products whose seal, packaging, appearance, or odor suggests damage or tampering.
6. Clear and responsible labeling
We aim to present product identity, directions, ingredients, cautions, quantity, and other required information clearly. Labels and website descriptions may change when formulations, packaging, suppliers, evidence, or legal requirements change. The product label supplied with an item is the primary source for current directions and warnings.
7. Traceability and documentation
Where reasonably available, we maintain or obtain records that help connect products to suppliers, purchase records, lot or batch information, specifications, and quality documents. Traceability supports investigation, communication, and appropriate action when a concern is identified.
8. Complaints and corrective action
We take product-quality complaints seriously. Reports are reviewed based on the information provided and may be shared with the supplier or manufacturer for investigation. When warranted, actions may include replacement, refund, additional review, supplier follow-up, temporary suspension, or removal of a product.
9. Continuous improvement
Quality systems improve through evidence, feedback, and review. We may update specifications, documentation requests, suppliers, handling practices, educational materials, or product selection as new information becomes available.
10. What these standards mean
These standards describe our quality approach; they are not a promise that every product is risk-free or suitable for every person. Supplements do not replace a varied diet or medical care. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before use if you are pregnant or nursing, take medication, have a medical condition, are preparing for surgery, or are purchasing for a child.
